Etobicoke is the last neighbourhood you pass leaving Toronto for the airport, and the first one you reach coming back. The 427 runs straight up its eastern edge and feeds directly into the terminals, which makes this one of the quickest parts of the city to serve. From most Etobicoke addresses a chauffeur reaches Pearson in fifteen to twenty five minutes, and that holds even during the morning rush, because the airport traffic is generally moving against the downtown flow.

Airport runs from north and south Etobicoke

The northern end around Rexdale, Thistletown and the Dixon Road hotel strip is close enough that some pickups are shorter than the walk between terminals. If you are staying near the airport before an early flight, we can hold a car for a five minute run rather than a shuttle you have to wait for.

South Etobicoke is a longer trip but a simple one. Mimico, New Toronto, Long Branch, Alderwood and the Humber Bay Shores towers all sit on or near the QEW and Gardiner, and the run north on the 427 is direct. The Kingsway, Islington Village, Sunnylea and Markland Wood sit in the middle of the borough and are straightforward in either direction.

Flights are tracked, so an early landing moves the car up and a delay does not cost you. For departures we build the schedule backwards from your check in time rather than from a guess about traffic.

The condo corridor and the downtown commute

Humber Bay Shores has become one of the densest residential clusters in the west end, and it has a particular problem: it is close to downtown as the crow flies and awkward to reach by car at rush hour. A chauffeured sedan solves the part that actually matters, which is not the drive but the parking at the other end.

For a business dinner, a game at Scotiabank Arena, a night at Roy Thomson Hall or an evening in the Distillery District, being dropped at the door and collected when you are finished is worth more than the fare difference. The same applies to the waterfront festivals in summer, when parking anywhere near the lakeshore stops being realistic.

Woodbine, Sherway and the evenings out

Woodbine in the north end draws crowds year round between the racetrack and the casino floor, and it is a natural chauffeured trip. Nobody enjoys a long night out followed by a drive home, and a car waiting outside removes the calculation entirely.

Closer to the QEW, Sherway Gardens anchors the shopping side of the borough, and the restaurant strips along Bloor Street West in the Kingsway and along Lake Shore Boulevard in New Toronto and Mimico fill up on weekends. Groups moving between two or three of them are better served by one vehicle than by a string of separate rides.

Weddings and celebrations

Etobicoke has one of the best wedding venue mixes in the west end. The Old Mill sits above the Humber and has been hosting receptions for generations. The golf and country clubs around Islington and the Kingsway handle a quieter, more formal kind of event. Along the water, Humber Bay Park and Colonel Samuel Smith Park give photographers the city skyline across the lake, which is the shot most couples in this part of Toronto want.

We coordinate the movements rather than just supplying a vehicle. The wedding party travels together in a stretch or Sprinter, parents and older guests are handled separately in sedans and SUVs, and the photo stop between ceremony and reception is planned into the timing instead of improvised on the day.

Students, staff and regular runs

Humber College's north campus brings a steady flow of arrivals and departures at the start and end of each term, often with heavy luggage and often from families who would rather not attempt airport parking. We also handle standing corporate arrangements for the office and industrial parks along Carlingview, Attwell and the Queensway, where visiting staff arrive on the same rotation every month.

Booking a car in Etobicoke

Reserve online, by phone or by email, and you will have written confirmation with your vehicle, chauffeur and pickup details before the day. Short notice requests are welcome and we will tell you honestly what we can cover. For early morning airport departures, booking the night before at the latest gives you the best choice of vehicle.
