Oakville books differently from the rest of the region. The request here is rarely for something that turns heads. It is far more often a black sedan at the door at ten past five in the morning, a chauffeur who does not make conversation unless invited to, and a quiet run to Pearson while the passenger works or sleeps. Most of what we do in this town is executive travel, and the standard it is judged against is whether anything went wrong at all.
From Old Oakville, Bronte, Glen Abbey, River Oaks, Joshua Creek and Iroquois Ridge, Pearson is usually thirty to forty minutes by the QEW and the 403, or by the 407 when the lakeshore route is backed up. We take the decision on the morning rather than the night before, because the two routes fail at different times and for different reasons.
Not every Oakville flight leaves from Pearson. For short hops to Montreal, Ottawa, New York or Boston, a good number of our regular passengers prefer Billy Bishop, and the run down the QEW into the city is a straightforward one. We handle both, and if the return is into a different airport than the departure, that is simply noted on the booking.
Flights are tracked. If your inbound is early the car is already there, and if it sits on the tarmac you are not paying for the delay.
The employers along the QEW, through the Winston Park area and up the Trafalgar and Dundas corridor bring a steady flow of visiting staff, clients and directors. Their requirements are consistent: collection at the terminal by name, a hotel drop, meetings across the day and a return to the airport that leaves enough margin for check in without an hour of sitting around.
Corporate accounts get consolidated monthly billing and a single point of contact for changes, which matters more than it sounds when a meeting overruns and somebody needs the car pushed back forty minutes. Where scheduling allows, repeat visitors travel with a chauffeur who has driven them before and already knows the route and the preferences.
The train solves the commute and then abandons you at the end of the night, which is the practical reason a great many Oakville evenings end in a hired car. A dinner in the financial district, a concert, a game or a client function that runs past the last useful departure is far better handled by a car waiting on the street than by a taxi negotiation at midnight.
Closer to home, Lakeshore Road through downtown Oakville and the restaurants around Kerr Village and Bronte Harbour fill up on weekends. For an anniversary, a birthday or a group dinner, a chauffeured car removes both the parking problem and the question of who is staying sober.
Oakville weddings tend to be smaller and more formal than those a few kilometres north, and the transport should match. Gairloch Gardens and the lakefront at Coronation Park give photographers the water and the mature trees this town is known for, and the harbours at Bronte and downtown provide the same in a different register. The golf and country clubs in the north end handle the receptions that stay in town.
We generally recommend sedans and executive SUVs here rather than stretches, and we will say so plainly when asked. A pair of well presented black cars looks correct outside a lakefront ceremony in a way that a longer vehicle does not.
Oakville has a concentration of private and independent schools alongside Sheridan's Trafalgar campus, which produces a particular kind of booking. Term start and term end mean students arriving at Pearson with a term's worth of luggage, often travelling alone and often meeting a driver for the first time. Parents overseas want to know the car was there, the flight was met and the drop was made. We confirm each stage rather than leaving anybody guessing.
Reserve online, by phone or by email, and you will have written confirmation with your vehicle, chauffeur and pickup details in advance. For a regular early morning airport run, we are happy to set up a standing arrangement so you are not rebooking the same trip every month.
